Description

Job Purpose

  • The job of the lift operator/relocator is to transfer merchandise into or out of the rack/ floor locations in a timely manner.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Move, unload, sort, store, wrap and inventory our furniture and mattresses.
  • Perform daily forklift checklist and report any equipment problems
  • Use RF/ WMS to move inventory in the WMS (warehouse management system)
  • Use proper material handling to avoid product damage.
  • Housekeeping – Racks/ Floor
  • Other Duties as assigned

 

Skills Required

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Safety conscious
  • Computer literate, experience with WMS (warehouse management software)
  • High School or GED

 

Skills Preferred

  • Previous forklift certification
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
  • Experience in rack storage systems

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and move more than 60 pounds.

 

Working Conditions and Environment
